In today’s day and age of constant technology, social media updates and “telephone neck” it’s a relief to know that our local community still provides great services to help us connect with each other. Earlier this week the City Counsel voted to keep the Kent District Library – Grandville Branch open on Sunday’s to allow a more convenient time for everyone in the area.

The new hours will start on April 12th, 2015. Though we don’t know for sure what they will be; we appreciate the work that has gone into getting these changes developed.

In case you didn’t know, the local library provides some great benefits:

Wireless internet

  • Public computers with internet, word processing and other software
  • Color copier
  • KDLville early literacy play space
  • Teen space
  • Two quiet study/reading rooms
  • Ongoing used book sale area
  • Express Check-in
  • Active Friends of the Library group
  • Outdoor amphitheater with patio seating
  • Battery recycling drop-off in lobby
